Workshop on Oakmont’s Future – Come One, Come All!!
Oakmont Village Workshop, November 6, 2018, 2 – 4 PM, Berger Center
On November 6, there will be a very important OVA Workshop with the theme of “What Should Oakmont’s Future Look Like, and Who Should Decide?” If you care about what Oakmont will soon become, you should be there!
OVA plans, within the next five years, to update the central facility that currently includes Berger and the CAC. Do you want these updates to be major or deluxe, with price tags to match? Or are you more concerned about dues increases (which have more than doubled from 2008 to 2019, and which have gone up 41% in just the past three years), and want only cosmetic and safety updates?
Additional decisions that affect our future include if and where to put a dog park, our relationship with OGC, and others yet to be imagined.
If you have a vision of an Oakmont that you would like to see become reality, then come to the workshop and share your vision with the Board of Directors – they will be there to listen.
If you have an opinion about who should decide on Oakmont’s future – the Long Range Planning Committee? the Board? OVA members via votes on planned expansions? — then come to the workshop and share.
Even if you are undecided on all of this, your presence at the workshop will indicate your interest, and you will learn about how others see Oakmont evolving into the future.
