Summer Concerts, Movies, and Fireworks Return to Green Music Center

The Green Music Center at Sonoma State University has announced its Summer at the Green schedule, bringing concerts, comedy, films, and special events to Weill Hall and the surrounding lawn from July through September.

The season opens July 4 with the annual Fireworks Spectacular featuring the Santa Rosa Symphony and Transcendence Theatre Company. Other scheduled performers include Gin Blossoms, Blues Traveler and Spin Doctors (July 17), Melissa Etheridge and Wynonna Judd (July 18), Andy Grammer with Walk Off the Earth (July 26), and NPR’s live comedy and quiz show Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me! (July 30).

Additional artists appearing this summer include Jake Owen (August 2), Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue with St. Paul & The Broken Bones (August 16), TajMo—featuring Taj Mahal and Keb’ Mo’—on September 5, and Boz Scaggs on September 18.

The venue will also host its Movies at the Green series on the Weill Lawn. Admission is free for children ages 12 and younger, while adult tickets are $6.

Seating Choices

Summer at the Green offers several seating options depending on the event.

Lawn seating allows guests to bring blankets or low-profile chairs and select an available location on the lawn.

Reserved table seating provides designated outdoor seating closer to the stage area. Tables seat four guests, though each attendee must have an individual ticket.

Indoor seating is available for many performances inside Weill Hall, with seating locations varying by event.

Located on the Sonoma State University campus in Rohnert Park, the Green Music Center serves as a major performing arts venue for Sonoma County and the North Bay.

Additional information, schedules, and ticket availability can be found through the Green Music Center box office and website.
