OPINION: My 2025 Endorsements for the OVA Board
I want to share my endorsements for the OVA board election. I am endorsing Tim Nelson, Robert Williams, Karl Turner and Jess Marzak. Here is why:
They have all committed to democracy by saying that Oakmont residents should be able to vote on any large expensive projects that the OVA board recommends. The exact amount remains to be decided. The purpose of this is to make sure that the Board is truly representing the wishes of the residents.
In addition, in some form, these candidates are in favor of an amendment to the OVA by-laws that says Oakmont residents will be able to vote on large projects.
I do not recommend the other candidates because they have not clearly stated that they are in favor of Oakmont democracy. I believe that they will push for the 2030 large projects to proceed.
If you are in favor of us all being able to vote on whether or not we want large expensive projects, please join me in voting for Tim Nelson, Robert Williams, Karl Turner and Jess Marzak.
